Pets in the kitchen

Before we got a cat the message was simple. We went to a cattery and it was this lovely lady’s home; 5 or 6 cats walked freely around the home, except one recent rescue cat (which we chose to be our beautiful cat Lily.) The house had a distinct smell to it, which was something we noted, and did not want in our home. It was probably due to the number of cats but we knew we needed to prepare our home for her arrival, and to make sure that the kitchen in particular was hospitable to her and us at the same time.
We were lucky enough to have a slight off shoot from our kitchen where we keep all products we need for her; dry and wet food and the bowls we serve them in. A quick squirt from an air freshener, or one of the automatic ones on a timer and it’ll smell good as new.
